About Us
We are not self-righteous - We sin like everybody else; however, we don't revel in it. We believe that we, and everyone around us, are equal in respect to worthlessness in the sight of God, short of trusting in the crosswork of His Son.
We are not homophobes - We have no more fear of a homosexual than we do an adulterer. Biblically, both are simply engaged in behavioral sins. (And if you're not a believer, why should you care if we call it a sin? "Sin" is a biblical term.)
We don't believe that people go to hell for being gay - We believe people elect to go to hell by not accepting the free gift of salvation, trusting the death that Christ died was a substitution for our own. There is nothing we imperfect beings can do to impress The Creator of the universe except to trust in what He has done for us.
We do not condone any kind of violence toward or bullying of homosexuals and are deeply saddened by stories of suicide - We embrace anyone who wants help with the sin of homosexuality or any other sin and would welcome them into the fold like the father welcomed the prodigal son.
We love the sinner - hate the sin - "Homosexual" and "homosexuality" are not synonymous. Words have meaning. One is a person, the other a lifestyle. We challenge anyone to find a hateful remark about a homosexual person in Dare To Stand. The video speaks of the sinful lifestyle, but also of hope for anyone who struggles with the issue.
We are conservative and tolerant - In the politically correct world we live in, language is in a constant state of flux. We use the conservative definition of tolerance, meaning to tolerate, not necessarily to accept unconditionally. We accept those who seek help and tolerate those who don't.
If we have offended you, then that is our problem. If God has offended you, then that is your problem. To those who trust there is no temptation that cannot be overcome. For those in whom the Holy Spirit resides, there will always be a way out.
